Volunteer abroad with GVI

If you want to spend a period of your life as volunteer abroad, GVI is the right choice. What is GVI? GVI means Global Vision International and it’s one of the most important non-political and non-religious organization of voluteering abroad.

It was formed in 1997, with the aim to help international charities, non-profits and governmental agencies which need support.

GVI is present in 25 countries with over 100 programs. To be a volunteer abroad is a choice that can change your life, because it helps to understand the importance of others and the environment that surrounds us. Specifically, you can choose between many programs across the globe.

For example, you can take part in programs as those for conservation of beaches in Mexico and Fiji, or that to help children in Kenya or Thailand. Every year this organization sends 3000 volunteers all over the world to help the others.

If you want to be one of these volunteers, you have to leave for a mission. In addition, volunteering is also a way to learn about other cultures and discover new places. It’s important to underline that GVI‘s programs are run in collaboration with local operators.

There are three different types of programs. The first one is “expedition”: the volunteer lives closely with an international group of volunteers and is involved in a wide range of issues. The second one is “internships abroad”: this kind of program offers professional development opportunities.

There are 30 internships programs around the world. The last one, is “volunteer projects”: you can leave to take part in one of 100 projects operating in 25 countries. It’s very hard to not find the solutions that suits your needs and expectations.

The most important thing is to choose a program that can be interesting for your training. To the volunteers GVI USA offers a safe and responsible travel experience and a good training.
